You know I see dead people, I just tell 'em get a life

After spending the weekend obsessively listening to the Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse soundtrack my head is filled with ideas. Someone, please stop me from making a Bei Fong ladies tribute vid to Jaden Smith's "Way Up" or a Luke Skywalker one to Lil Wayne & Ty Dolla $ign's "Scared of the Dark." Baring that, please someone give me practical advice on how to make it happen.

What do you mean, STOP you? Do you have the footage? Video editing software? I use DVD rips for footage but a torrent could work, too, especially if it's ripped from Blu-Ray originals.

I have everything I need except the know-how. I mean, I did one before, but I'm looking for more and better advice. Stay tuned because I've already started ripping my Avatar DVDs.

Ha! I could use good know-how myself. Have fun with it, and I'm always up for talking shop about vids if you want someone to talk to about it.

Cool. Colls recommended using MPEG Streamclip to make the clips in advance. When I did my first vid, I just plunked down all three movies in the timeline and hunted and pecked for the clips I needed. We'll see if I like this way better.

That's pretty much how I do it--I just cut clips from the footage in the media browser and plunk them in the timeline. I'm curious as to how that method works!

I'll let you know. I'm still in the process of ripping the footage from the DVDs.
