I believe in peace, bitch
Jun. 24th, 2019 01:48 pmA friend of mine from tumblr insisted that I watch Good Omens, so I signed up for a free trial of Amazon Prime to watch it. I'd read and enjoyed the book, but it had been a while so it wasn't fresh in my mind. I really enjoyed it, but I don't see myself becoming fan-ish about it. The story feels complete and satisfying in a way that doesn't require or inspire fic for me. That said, I can totally understand why some people are super fan-ish about it. It's got two reasonably attractive white men (or at least mostly male-presenting beings) in a clear and obvious romance. It's fangirl catnip. I understand from my tumblr feed some fans are pissed off that they never kiss or touch dicks or whatever and that's it's queerbaiting and not real rep, but as an asexual who has literally never seen an asexual romance on screen before, I say, queer encompass a lot more than gay.
( thoughts and rambling bellow )
Over all, a fun show based on a good book. Now that I have Amazon Prime and a month to take advantage of it, does anyone have any recommendations for Amazon things I should watch?
